Esteban Gabriel Morales Neris (b. 1997), conocide como Neris, es une creative caribeñe y afrodescendiente de Puerto Rico que trabaja con el fotoperiodismo, videografía, diseño gráfico, y la edición/retoque. Actualmente cursa sus últimos semestres en la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Río Piedras estudiando Información y Periodismo, Sociología y Fotografía. En su tiempo libre, le gusta producir música en su computadora.
Su pasión es el fotoperiodismo y contar narrativas audiovisuales, ya sea en foto o video. Su visión consiste en querer relatar historias que funcionen tanto para galerías y para medios. Le interesan temas como: la diversidad funcional y su estigmatización; la iconografía, símbolos y propaganda y cómo su resemantización, resignificación y/o eliminación de significado afecta nuestros comportamientos y vida tanto en lo político, económico, espiritual, mental y personal; la religión y sus espacios de resistencia fuera de los fundamentalismos conservadores; y el desplazamiento que ha trastocado su vida, al igual que toda la isla, llevándose a la mayoría de su familia y comunidad. Su deseo es poder resaltar en su arte las contradicciones que vive y que surgen de la colonia para poder trabajarlo como país.
En su futuro desea poder seguir estudiando para poder ejercer como fotoperiodista. En lo personal, le gustaría seguir aportando a la resistencia y a las luchas en las que cree que construirán el Puerto Rico que desea ver en el futuro, donde pueda compartir de nuevo con toda su familia. Ha trabajado por cuenta propia con medios y agencias de publicidad; asimismo, ha hecho eventos, bodas, y portraits para subsistir y poder perseguir su pasión.

Currently, they are completing their final semesters at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, studying Information and Journalism, Sociology, and Photography. Their passion is photojournalism and telling audiovisual narratives, whether through photos or videos. Their vision is to narrate stories that work both for galleries and the media. They are interested in topics such as: functional diversity and its stigmatization; iconography, symbols, and propaganda, and how their resemantization, resignification, and/or elimination of meaning that affects our behaviors and lives in political, economic, spiritual, mental, and personal aspects; religion and its spaces of resistance outside conservative fundamentalisms; and the displacement that has disrupted their life, as well as the entire island, taking away most of their family and community. Their desire is to highlight, in their art, the contradictions they experience and that arise from being a colony, in order to work on it as a country.
In the future, they hope to continue studying to work as a photojournalist. Personally, they would like to continue contributing to the resistance and struggles they believe will build the Puerto Rico they want to see in the future, where they can once again be with their entire family. They have worked independently with media and advertising agencies; likewise, they have covered events, weddings, and portraits to sustain themselves and pursue their passion.
